The High Point Cycling Classic has evolved into one of the most respected Criterium series races in North Carolina and the Southeast. Backed by the High Point tourism and business community, the city hosted the 2013 and 2014 US Professional Criterium National Championships. The event was praised by competitors for the exciting Downtown race course and the quality of the event organization. After each Classic, all available funds were distributed back into the community through a number of charitable entities. To date, over $100,000 has been granted to community organizations.

Passionate about helping those in need, Bobby started the Bobby Labonte Foundation in 2003 with the goal of giving back to the families and children of his local community. As the 2000 NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion, Bobby has seen many successes in life and has had the opportunity to meet fans across the United States. Driven by the support and dedication his fans have given him throughout his racing career, Bobby is driven to give back. Since 2003, his Foundation has supported charities throughout North Carolina who provide help to families and children in need. In a continuing effort to find new ways to help the local communities in and around the Triad, the Bobby Labonte Foundation has recently launched a new Grant program. Non-profits in the surrounding areas now have the opportunity to submit formal requests for financial support for initiatives benefitting children and families in the areas surrounding Bobby’s hometown of High Point, North Carolina.

In its seventh year, the Bobby Labonte Charity Bike Ride continues to raise more and more money for local children each year.  This is because of you and all those who have supported the Foundation over the years.  Thank you!  Help Bobby continue to support those in need by attending any or all of the events which make up the 2017 High Point Cycling Classic benefiting the Bobby Labonte Foundation, and join him in giving back to the communities in which we all live!
